Housed in a remodeled lane home in the French Concession, that use to house the flower market. This newest Japanese fusion creation wants to be it all: where you eat, drink and dance the night away! The first thing we noticed when we walked into The Geisha was a really lovely scent (we found out that it’s custom made for the restaurant!). Upon looking at the menu, one particular dish caught our eye, “the angry old man and beautiful young girl” entrée. If the name doesn’t immediately inspire you, the taste of lobster and shrimp in a savory sauce will! With three floors, it’s hard to pick a favorite spot in this place – but we especially loved the terrace. At the opening of the club , the line to get to the terrace was 15 minutes. It’s a lot smaller than the living room one. It’s perfect for a secret rendezvous among the cherry blossom trees.
The Geisha opens up a ladies’ night offering up pink martinis and sparkling wine for free for all the females from 9-11pm, and two-for-one drink specials after 11pm.

This is a great post. Thanks so much for sharing, like always, I tried the place and it was an interesting Japanese restaurant in Shanghai. I usually go to the Japanese for Japanese food. I went 3 times and the club was empty, the terrace on the other hand was full. I guess everyone in Shanghai loves a terrace.
